Economic empowerment
for victims of domestic violence

Domestic abuse poses a threat to the safety and security of victims and their families across the United States. In fact, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Centers for Disease Control report that nearly 25 percent of women experience domestic abuse during their lives. But women are not the only victims; men and children suffer from domestic abuse, too. The information on this site is designed to assist all who suffer from this social.

Abusers often use economic control to prevent their victims from walking away from – or becoming personally empowered in – a relationship. Unfortunately, domestic abuse programs often are unable to assist survivors who face economic challenges.

The Allstate Foundation is taking a stand. It provides resources and programs that support survivors of domestic abuse and their advocates – by addressing the issues of financial security and economic empowerment.
